KCC workers lend a helping hand to the Bungalow
Mark Drury from Kent County Council and his fellow staff members all gave up their time one Saturday in March to help clear out the new dementia centre that opens in July.
The team tidied the garden, swept up debris inside and chucked into a skip, any items from inside the bungalow that were not salvageable.
The bungalow was brought by Age Concern Maidstone early last year (2009) with thanks to a legacy.
It has been fully refurbished to a high specification and will be a day centre specialising in dementia day care only.
Lynda Rootes, the client services manager said that '...KCC were big help, and I want to say a massive Thank-you to them.' |
